Queensferry Primary School

Wednesday already?

Yesterday was our first full day of activities and our groups took part in a selection from ropes course, orienteering, forest adventure, caving or gorge walking. Hence the carnage left in our drying room by tea time!

I personally spent the morning down a cave, scraping and squeezing my way through quartz and slime, then my afternoon at the ropes convincing 40kg children that if the rope could hold a tonne, it could hold them…

Dinner was sweet and sour chicken, pronounced either too sweet or too sour depending on the mood round each table, but when seconds were announced the queue suggested it was actually “just right”!
A scavenger hunt, with torches in the dark, was organised in the evening before being packed off for night two and now, at the mid-point of the week, we’ll do it all again.

Today also means a reluctant goodbye and thank you to Mrs Mclean but a cheerful hello and welcome to Mrs Thomson!
