Friday 6th – Thursday 12th October
In Literacy we will be continuing our focus on talking and listening. We will be supporting the children to know when to talk and when to listen, as well as paying attention to volume of voice. We will be encouraging the children to share news, thoughts and ideas. We will explore the importance of using words to communicate during our play.
Our Maths focus will continue to be on recognising and exploring domino patterns through our play and nursery routines. Dot patterns are present at tooth brushing, on snack chairs, on toilet doors and throughout the nursery spaces. Can you ‘spot’ them?
In Health and Wellbeing, have decided to spend another week looking at health and hygiene. This is particularly important as we approach winter with all of the bugs that it tends to bring. We will be talking about when and how to wash our hands, and we will also be brushing our teeth together in groups.
We have been exploring the weather by recording the weather each day and checking our rain gauge to see how much rain has been collected. We have been exploring seasonal change and will continue to do so this week.
