P3 Home Learning

Dear Families,

Happy New Year! P3 are busy planning learning for the children to start on Monday 11th January. The learning will be shared through Seesaw. Our plan is to send a rough timetable on Seesaw for the week on a Monday morning (which will also be uploaded to the school website) so you can see what an overview of the week will look like. The activities will be added on to Seesaw each day first thing in the morning and you can plan to complete them when it suits your family. As teachers, we will be working some days in school and some days at home. This means we might not always be available on Seesaw but there will always be a teacher responding.

Thank you for your continued support. As always, if you have any questions or queries please do not hesitate to ask, either through Seesaw or via email.

P3 Summer Term

Welcome back P3! We hope that you have all managed to have a restful and enjoyable Easter break and we would like to welcome you all back (in an online and virtual way at least!) to the Summer Term.

We will continue to upload daily tasks on to Seesaw, with at least a literacy and numeracy task every day. We also have our grids that we sent home in your home learning packs. Please continue going back to these grids to practise and revisit your learning. Also remember that Mr Glass and Mr Brownlie have been uploading some great tasks on the school website, which we have been sharing.

We are looking forward to hearing from you all again so keep the Seesaw posts coming to tell us all about the fantastic learning that you are doing. We love seeing the work that you send us!

Please also check the Sumdog website. Each child will be given an individual login to this website over the next few days and it is a great way to practice literacy and numeracy skills. The teachers can set challenges and tasks so try and challenge yourselves with these! If you are having challenges accessing this website, contact your child’s class teacher and they should be able to help.

A little bit about Sumdog:

Sumdog is a fantastic website that uses motivating games to encourage students to practise their mental maths skills. The children love it as they are able to play against each other and they can practise any skill with any game. This ensures Sumdog is never boring – and always relevant.

Each child has been given their own login and unique password. This means that when they log on to the Sumdog website (www.sumdog.com) they will automatically see their own personalised home screen. From here they can scroll across the screen to choose games that appeal to them. Whichever game they choose they will still be given questions relevant to their level so it doesn’t matter if they prefer some games over others.

Primary 3 Home Learning Day 1!

Good morning Primary 3! Welcome to our first week of home learning. We have lots of exciting new learning for you. Every day the Primary 3 teachers will post new activities on your class page on Seesaw. They will also ask you to complete learning from your home learning packs, as well as giving you ideas to try at home.

Remember that the learning for the day will be posted in the morning, but it doesn’t need to be completed straight away and in one go! These are tasks that would be split across the day, and broken up with brain breaks, movement breaks, break time and lunchtime as well as choosing time!

Please get in touch with us via email if you have any problems accessing Seesaw or if you have any other questions and we will be happy to help! Here’s to a great week.
