Primary 2’s Summer Term

We can’t believe it’s the last term of Primary 2 already!  Doesn’t time fly when you’re having fun?  We have made a great start to the term and are encouraging each other to be that little bit more independent and to take more responsibility for our learning.

We are hoping that the sun will shine for us as we begin to investigate the effects of weather on daily life.  This, in turn, will give us lots of opportunities to take our learning outdoors and into our new classroom……

Keep your eyes peeled for more information about how we are getting ready for Primary 3!

Scots Week

Primary 2 will be finding out interesting facts about Scotland!

We will be researching places to visit, famous Scots, our weather and things typically Scottish such as haggis, tartan, thistles and golden eagles.

The children will also be listening to familiar stories written in Scottish language. They will be investigating familiar well known expressions and use them oral and written literacy.

As part of our Scottish week the children will learn to recite and sing “Auld Lang Syne” when learning about Robert Burns.

At the end of the week there is a family ceilidh to which everyone is invited!
