Take a look at what we are learning this term in P2H and P2Y.
A HUGE congratulations to all Primary 6 pupils for performing a fantastic walking tour of South Queensferry. All actors learned their lines off by heart, and performed with super confidence. Ms Love and Mrs Thomas are so proud of you all!
Thank you so much to all adult helpers (we literally couldn’t have done it without you!) and all family/friends who watched the tours – your smiles and laughs kept our entertainers going!
We are currently in the process of replacing some of our costume pieces and accessories, and would be very grateful for any donations. We are particularly looking for old-fashioned dresses, pinafors, waistcoats, aprons and girls bonnets. Thanks in advance!
Nobody point out that our first show is 3 weeks on Monday!
Rehearsals are going well, thank you so much to every pupil who has committed to this and turned up after school.
Mrs Mclean has sent costume suggestion sheets out to all cast members asking for families to try and source as much as they can; anything which you can’t get please get in touch soon and we’ll raid the Heritage Trail box!
The show itself will be performed on the 25th and 26th at 7pm at the Barony Theatre in Bo’ness. Tickets will cost £6 pounds each and will be limited to 4 per child. A family ticket costing £20 will be available; this must be for either the Monday or the Tuesday (not split over the two nights) and will count as a child’s full allocation.
Any extra unsold tickets will be allocated from a waiting list on a first come, first served basis. Order forms will be sent home soon!
“I had the time of my life!” Amelie
A huge well done to all pupils in Primary 6 for their incredible performance of, ‘Dragon of the Western Sea,’ with Scottish Opera. Here are a few reviews from the children and some photos of the amazing show!
“I think it was one of the best things in P6 so far. I was sad for it to be over!” Calum
“I loved how the Scottish Opera made the show really funky with the dance moves.” Hannah
“I enjoyed it so much because everyone was nice and positive. I also felt professional. After I got my outfit on, I felt like someone out of a Bollywood movie, dancing and smiling.” Ruby
“I liked it because everyone had a smile and everyone was having fun.” Zaki
“I liked getting the outfit on and singing to the audience.” Anthony
Happy Christmas everyone, and here’s something to maybe make you smile over the break!
The P6 Egyptian Assembly EXTRAVAGANZA!
Performing on Thursday 21st September
The papyrus is rustling and the pyramids are getting built, preparation for the Primary 6 assembly has officially begun!
Pupils have been super busy learning about all different aspects of Ancient Egyptian life, including Egyptian clothing. We would like each pupil to apply what they have learned and be dressed in an Ancient Egyptian style outfit for the assembly itself. Bed sheets and pillow cases will come in handy, as every pupil has already made beautiful jewellery to accessorize with!
Please bring your Egyptian outfit into school on Tuesday 18th September, for our dress rehearsal.
We can’t wait to see you all looking fabulous!
