It is really important you stick to the deadlines and do a little bit each week. As always, your work must be Primary 6 standard! This is in preparation for your personal project, which will start after the February holiday.

 

Life in P6T

Our last blog post of 2016 is from Freya and Rebecca. Happy holidays from P6T!

We have been looking at plant growth by planting our own bean seeds. We also learned the different parts of a flower.

On Wednesday we went to Frankie and Bennies – we got to make pizzas and eat them. When we came back from Frankie and Bennies we watched a French cartoon called Trotro. We also had dance in P.E.

On Thursday we finished off our calendars and made Christmas cards with Mrs Love. We checked our bean seeds. We did our French Speaking test. We had to think really hard.
On Tuesday, we were so busy – we had WE day and then went swimming. We made some sustainable transport vehicles out of Loose Parts.

On Friday we had a celebration assembly and finished our pollination and fertilisation comic strips and had privilege time.

Primary 3 Scots Poems!

The children have heard and discussed 3 wonderful  poems in Scots – Nessie by J.K. Annand, Doctor by J.K. Annand and The Sair Finger by Walter Wingate. They have chosen one of these poems to learn for homework in the week ahead.  We hope to have some lovely recitals in class next Monday … please find the links below!

We have also been learning the song ‘Thae Banes, Thae Banes’ which we are looking forward to performing during our Burns assembly … happy learning!

Primary 2 are able to add!

Today  Primary 2 were using different ‘adding strategies’ to help solve number problems.  We have been using our stories of ten, as well as doubles and near-doubles, to help us to add two numbers together.  We really enjoy singing songs to help us learn our number bonds.  Here are the links to a few of the songs we have been singing (and rapping to) in class.
