P6 Assembly Extravaganza!

The P6 Egyptian Assembly EXTRAVAGANZA!

Performing on Thursday 21st September

The papyrus is rustling and the pyramids are getting built, preparation for the Primary 6 assembly has officially begun!

Pupils have been super busy learning about all different aspects of Ancient Egyptian life, including Egyptian clothing.  We would like each pupil to apply what they have learned and be dressed in an Ancient Egyptian style outfit for the assembly itself. Bed sheets and pillow cases will come in handy, as every pupil has already made beautiful jewellery to accessorize with!

Please bring your Egyptian outfit into school on Tuesday 18th September, for our dress rehearsal.

We can’t wait to see you all looking fabulous!

We walked on the hard shoulder. The hard shoulder is for cars that have broken down. Oops did you spot that we were walking the wrong way.

P6 Europe Holiday Pitches

Dear Parents/carers,

As part of our learning all about Europe and applying our skills in using persuasive language, both Primary 6 classes are currently working really hard to create a presentation all about a European city.

On Thursday 30th March, we would like to invite you to our holiday sales pitches, where you will get the chance to listen to each group’s sales pitch. You may also get the opportunity to vote for your favourites!

The pitches will be taking place in both classrooms in the upper stages from 1:30pm – 3:15pm. Please free feel to drop in at some point during these times.

Thank you for your continued support.

P6 STEM Reflections

“I learned that STEM gets your brain working hard so you can complete challenges.” – Cara.

“STEM is science, technology, engineering and maths. My group made an Olympic kite representing Greece.” -Grace.

“Our STEM skills helped us build our kites and understand the importance of having a good, strong structure.” – Abbie.

“I enjoyed the making and flying parts. I learned how to fly a kite.” – Frankie.

“I learned that building suspension is always a good thing, but to not put too much on otherwise it will weigh the kite down. I enjoyed flying the kite in the field and the suspension worked!” ‘Kyle.

“We learned how to catch the wind to make it fly.” – Freya.

“We learned proper teamwork is probably best because someone might be good at maths more than the others, and another person might be more observant of the structure of the Kite.” – Christopher.
