P7 Show – HONK!

The end of term is coming racing towards us and P7 are already elbow deep in rehearsals for our end of year show.honk

Attached is a copy of the proposed rehearsal timetable.  We will be rehearsing on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in school 2.15 to 3.15 as a whole year group, but we also have access to the school hall on Thursdays and Fridays after school.  Using the hall allows the pupils to really understand the space they have to use, and the volume of voice they need to use!

I have tried to get this right, and need the children to check which rehearsals they are needed for and add these dates to your calendar at home.  Any mistakes, omissions or conflicts please get in touch to see if they can be rectified.

It will be alright on the night.

It WILL be alright on the night…

Nursery Diary

Friday 21st -Thursday 27th April 2017
For the next few weeks, both classes will be exploring growth. We will help to grow plants and care for them and explore human growth as well.
Our Literacy focus is on linking what we learn to what we already know. We will be exploring non-fiction texts about growth, discussing these and asking questions.

Our first Language and Communication Parent Session is this Tuesday at 9am. We look forward to seeing you there!
In Maths and Numeracy this week, the children will be given opportunities to sort different objects, and to choose their own criteria for this.

In Science this week we will be planting some different types of seeds and talking about what plants need in order to grow.

Our Health and Wellbeing focus will be on developing our understanding of the human body as we grow, move and develop. We will be talking about what happens to our body when we exercise.

BINGO NIGHT!
A big thanks to all who supported our Bingo Night. We raised £900 and are now having a think about how we will spend it. We hope to purchase resources very soon!

P6 Europe Holiday Pitches

Dear Parents/carers,

As part of our learning all about Europe and applying our skills in using persuasive language, both Primary 6 classes are currently working really hard to create a presentation all about a European city.

On Thursday 30th March, we would like to invite you to our holiday sales pitches, where you will get the chance to listen to each group’s sales pitch. You may also get the opportunity to vote for your favourites!

The pitches will be taking place in both classrooms in the upper stages from 1:30pm – 3:15pm. Please free feel to drop in at some point during these times.

Thank you for your continued support.

Emily Thomas and Elizabeth Leithead
